The gallery feinart berlin is showing a solo exhibition of paintings, etchings and drawings by Mathias Roloff with a focus on landscape. Works from his series "Evolution Of Urbanity" will be presented in the Berlin Salon. In this series, he uses the technique of overpainted photography to transfer trees or groups of trees from the urban space into a new, fantastic environment.

The open air exhibition DU BIST AM ZUG 2024 (in cooperation with the Wall GmbH) is a very special event: 2.000 posters on streets and sidewalks, advertising pillars and bus stops in Berlin present the works of 800 selected artists during the summer months – including Mathias Roloff with his work "In The Thicket Of Allures". The clou: Initially, nobody knows where the posters are hanging. So everyone is asked to take part and find the motifs.

Mathias Roloff has been invited to to realize a forum on the topic of "Participatory art for strengthening rural communities" at the Federal Cultural Policy Congress in Berlin (24/06/12-14) – in cooperation with David Adler (Kulturlandbuero, Schloss Bröllin) and Karin Peter (Amt für Kultur, Bildung, Sport und Schulverwaltung, Vorpommern-Greifswald) . The congress will be officially opened by Claudia Roth, MdB (Minister of State for Culture and Media).

which he is realizing in Hintersee (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) in 2023.

Under the title "Eine Kulturkaufhalle für alle", Mathias Roloff is realizing a
participatory art project in Hintersee, a village in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
During the period from April to August 2023 he would like to get to know as
many inhabitants as possible, as well as their stories and individual
perspectives on the village.
At the end of the project, there will be an exhibition as a artistic presentation
of all acquired insights.
